Le fils de Marie - Oil on Canvas

baby.jpg

I am intrigued by people; young, old and in between. Faces and bodies are the landscape in which the soul resides. The soul is what I seek to reveal in my paintings, using charcoal, paint or even clay. My passion is to illuminate the emotions that make us who we are: Beauty, Anguish and Happiness. When I paint a portrait of a child, I try to capture the innocence and sensuality that only the young possess.

Having traveled extensively around the globe, living amongst a myriad of colors, personalities and cultures, has been much of my inspiration to create art and to convey the true and intricate beauty of being human.

About Me

I have been drawing and painting since the age of two and have been pursuing a career in fine and commercial arts since the ripe age of seventeen.

Not limiting myself to just painting, I have also become quite fluent in photography and sculpture as well.
I have been greatly influenced by artists such as Camille Claudel, Auguste Rodin, Francesco Clemente, John Singer Sargent and the grand portrait artist, Chuck Close.
